Yodabaz
To complete my apparent trifecta of art-themed posts, I give you a link to the simple but absolutely awesome web portfolio known as Yodabaz. It’s one of the more unique uses of Adobe Flash that I’ve seen.
Brilliant Shadow
Justin Sonfield is a photographer who runs a site called Brilliant Shadow. It’s basically his digital portfolio. He does a lot of work with fashion, weddings, and live bands.
I’m a particularly big fan of his work with music. He’s got a certain style that shines in a lot of his shots. Check out the one to the right.
I don’t know what type of camera body or lenses he’s using but it’s clear that he’s got some really high-end gear.
Takashi Okada
Holy crap. I ran across some of the work of a man named Takashi Okada earlier tonight. He is one hell of an awesome designer.
Check out his web portfolio here. The things he does with typography are particularly nuts. I wouldn’t mind having some of his work framed on my wall.
Don’t Play With Your Food
Remember that ridiculous Flickr set called Obento! that we posted a while back from the guy whose girlfriend makes him artsy lunches? Well, I found a new collection that definitely puts that one to shame.
There are some truly inspired works of food-art in this collection. My personal favorite is the Bioshock themed meal pictured at left. The attention to detail is ridiculous!
The artist is known as “Anna The Red”. She has even more of her work featured on her personal blog, including details on how she goes about putting together some of these masterpieces.
Stinky Feet? Get Some Vodka!
There’s an interesting article on a blog called Divine Caroline about the many uses for vodka – other than getting completely shitfaced, that is.
I’d heard about a few of the suggestions on the list but the one that really made me go, “Well, I’ll be damned,” was the bit about stinky feet. Apparently, vodka does a bang-up job of stopping funky feet in their tracks.
…not that my feet smell bad or anything.
Factual Error Found On Internet
I don’t normally read The Onion but a friend of mine just sent me the link to this article. If you remember The Brady Bunch and you’ve ever had the, “It’s on the Internet so it must be true,” argument, then you’re going to love this.
Mormons and Muslims
Q.) What’s the difference between Mormons and Muslims?
