Rush Limbaugh: The New Face of the GOP?
Chris Cillizza, a blogger over on The Washington Post, posted an article about Rush Limbaugh. In it, he ponders whether he is the “new face” of the GOP now that George Bush is out of the picture.
Personally, I think it says a lot about the Republican party if a sensationalist attention whore like Limbaugh is the best that they can come up with for a posterboy. I mean, this is a guy who said he wants to see Obama fail. I don’t care whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat – that’s fucked up.

DTV Transition Postponed
In case you haven’t heard, the big DTV Transition isn’t happening on February 17 as was originally planned. It’s being moved to June 12 to give everyone more time to prepare. If you don’t yet have a television capable of interpreting a digital signal or at least a converter box, then you might want to jump on that. Otherwise, you’re shit out of luck past June.

Nerdbots
I found this over on Metafilter. It’s a Flickr photo set called “The Nerds” by Nerdbots.
The creators, a guy and a girl named Nick and Angela, use everything from broken household appliances to old electronics to make really cool looking robots like the one pictured to the right. Some of them are extremely inventive.
They don’t appear to function as more than pieces of nerd art but they’re definitely cool to look at – and you can even buy them!

Ric Flair in Red Alert 3: Uprising
Ric Flair, the pro wrestling legend known to his fans as “The Nature Boy”, has joined the cast of the Red Alert 3: Uprising expansion pack. Flair will do voice work and also shoot live cut scenes for the game, which is due sometime in March. It will be released as downloadable content.
