The Legend of Princess
Check out this gameplay video taken from independent game developer Joakim Sandberg’s amazing new side scroller, Legend of Princess.
Does it look like a 16 bit version of one of Nintendo’s most famous titles? It should because that’s exactly what it is!
You can download the 10MB build of the first level here.

Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage
The first official expansion to Fallout 3, dubbed Operation Anchorage, released today. It weighs in right around 300MB, which Mr. Maroon says is quite heavy for a Bethesda pack. Maybe they gave it custom audio? A video cut scene? Who knows! Buy it (ha) and find out!
Here’s the story snippet from the game’s website.
The Brotherhood Outcasts are trying to acquire advanced military technology, and the only way to open the vault containing these relics is by completing a tactical simulation only you can enter. In Operation: Anchorage you will re-live the epic Battle of Anchorage from Fallout lore. Find your way into the simulation, stripped of resources, and survive within the rules set up by the simulation’s creators. The Chinese red army is everywhere, so secure the surrounding mountain side and fight your way into the Chinese base.
Sounds cool enough. I’ll leave a full review to Maroon, as he’s the resident Fallout 3 guru.

Monster.com Security Breach
If you have an account with Monster.com, then you might want to go change your password this evening. They were hit with another big security breach recently. Usernames, passwords, telephone numbers and email addresses were all compromised. This is particularly disappointing because Monster has been victimized in the past. When will they learn to encrypt better?

Steve Jobs Undergoing Surgery
The saga of Steve Jobs’ health crisis continues! Valleywag reported this morning that they have it on good authority that Jobs checked himself into Stanford Hospital over the weekend for a surgery scheduled to take place today. Other blogs, including Silicon Alley Insider and TechCrunch, quickly responded with reports from their own sources at Apple claiming that Jobs was in meetings all day today and nowhere near a hospital.
Considering that all three sites tend to be crammed with a lot of corporate-sponsored bullshit, I really don’t know who to believe. One thing’s for sure, though: this is hilarious to watch.
