Take a look at this ridiculous toy from the early 1950s over on Gizmodo. It’s an Atomic Energy Lab, complete with source materials, a geiger counter, and a comic book. Very few were produced and it was obviously later banned by the government.
I’m wondering what kind of damage this may have done to the kids who did play with it? It was $50 at the time, which was a hell of a lot of money to anyone in the 1950s, but I’m sure that at least a few rich parents bought one for their spoiled brats for Christmas.

Dude i so want one of those! hell i would just make me an tin foil suit. And start my own manhattan project in my second bathroom! nothing like glowing green at night happy happy, joy joy
