Street Fighter IV

I have mixed feelings about Street Fighter IV.

I like the new characters for the most part. I like that Capcom gave the game a facelift while still maintaining the traditional Street Fighter look. I like the fact that the game has online support.

I don’t like the new Ultra Combos, the fact that they changed the timing for certain combos, or the fact that Arcade mode is so insanely hard at higher difficulty settings. (That was a gripe I had with SF3, as well.)

Overall, however, it’s a solid game. Worth checking out if you’re a fighter fan.

WikipediaVision

I’m a big fan of well executed Google Maps mashups, and this one doesn’t disappoint. It somehow pulls a live feed from Wikipedia and maps out the source of anonymous edits.

Blind High School Basketball Player

The next time you think something in life is hard, stop for a minute and think about Matt Steven – a blind kid who somehow manages to shoot free throws for his school’s basketball team. As if that weren’t amazing enough, he also rides a bike, ice skates, and plays soccer. Read the full ESPN article for more.

New VIP Incentives

I’m introducing new VIP incentives starting today.

If you can get one of your friends to sign up for access to the VIP section of the site, I will send you $5. You can do this as many times as you’d like. If you can get three people to donate for VIP access, you get $5 for each of the three and free VIP access for yourself if you don’t already have it.

The first person to get twenty people to sign up for VIP access gets not only $5 for each of the sign-ups – they also get free VIP access and a one year paid subscription on Rapidshare.

AIG Resignation Letter

Jake DeSantis, a former AIG employee, wrote one hell of a resignation letter and The New York Times is sharing the full text with the world. It gives a new point of view to a story that has otherwise been beaten into the ground by big media and the government. It’s definitely worth a read.
