Insane 911 Call Ensues After Distraught Woman Handcuffs Herself to Husband
Wow. Some people are really, truly insane. Helen Sun from Connecticut thought it would be a good idea to handcuff herself to her estranged husband while he slept so that he couldn’t leave while she tried to get him to work out their relationship problems. When that didn’t work, she started biting him.
Yeah, you read that right.
The guy ended up calling 911, and a recording of the call is now available in the full article courtesy of News.com.au. She really must’ve been sinking her teeth in. He screams like a little girl several times.

IBM to Cut 5,000 in United States
IBM is going to cut 5,000 people from its workforce in the United States according to this article on Yahoo! News. It comes as no surprise given the state of the company and, more importantly, the national economy. This cut accounts for about 4% of the company’s total workforce.
Many of the cuts will come from the global services division, which includes outsourcing and consulting services.

Squarepusher: Go Plastic
I’ve been listening to a lot of older albums lately and just rediscovered one of my old favorites – Go Plastic, the 2001 album from Squarepusher (aka Tom Jenkinson). If you have even a passing interest in the world of experimental music, especially something with a drum and bass flavor, then this is an album worth going out and buying without even previewing. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed.
From the tongue-in-cheek opener My Red Hot Car to the banging progression of I Wish You Could Talk, there’s something on this album for everyone. It’s impossible not to get lost in the grooves, especially if you have a nice set of headphones.

Out of Context #0094
Mr. Maroon: I like the dark meat more than the white meat.
Mr. Maroon: The dark meat is moist.
Mr. Maroon: I can’t stand dry meat.
Mr. Maroon: Yeah, I know. Shut the fuck up. We’re talking turkey, here, asshole.

Drink Milk? Watch This Video
I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch but this is freaky.
Doctor Finishes Surgery Despite Heart Attack
Check out this story on ABC 2. It’s about an Italian doctor named Claudio Vitale who finished an operation on a patient’s brain despite having a heart attack during the procedure. Vitale reportedly finished for fear of leaving the patient with permanent brain damage.
Wow. This guy deserves a medal. Why isn’t every doctor this dedicated?

Gears of War II
Mr. Maroon and I have been playing a fair bit of Gears of War II over the past few days. It’s a pretty damn cool game, for the most part. The controls can be a bit goofy at times but the story is good and the level design is awesome. It’s a bit linear in parts but the graphics are amazing and the battles are wild and challenging even on a lower difficulty setting.
If you were a fan of the first Gears game, then you’re going to love this one. I think it’s better in many ways. We haven’t tested multiplayer, yet, but I’m sure that’s good as well.
