Check out this article on TIME about the advance of the Taleban deep into Pakistan. They’re nearing Islamabad, the capital city. There are lots and lots of weapons there. It would be a very bad thing for the rest of the world if these crazy fucks manage to infiltrate the city.

Actually I think the US military would like it if the pakistani government was, at least temporarily, indisposed, so they could conduct operations in pakistan without local oversight/opposition. If the local government can’t mount an effective opposition to a pack of untrained kids with antique kalashnikovs, then they certainly can’t prevent american operations in pakistan, which if I remember correctly is something they’ve been angling for for some time now.
