UP

We just caught the standard (non-3D) version of Disney and Pixar’s new movie, UP, at the local theater. I didn’t know what to expect heading into the movie. I hadn’t seen trailers or read anything about it, so I was flying blind.

Honestly, I think UP is one of the best movies to come out of Pixar since Toy Story. It was creative. It was original. It was funny. There was a much deeper level of character development in this movie than in their previous projects and the story dealt with lots of tough material that you don’t usually see in an animated film. (Losing a loved one, keeping your word, doing the right thing, etc.)

I would reccomend that if you intend to see it, you should do so in a theater. It’s just one of “those” types of movies. The animation is beautiful, so unless you have a really nice bigscreen, you’re not going to want to miss this one while it’s still an option to see it in a cinema.

See it in 3D, it’s totally worth the extra $3.00. They give you hard plastic glasses, and it’s completely different from the cheap 3D gimmicky shit movies you normally see.

I’d love to see a movie in 3D, I’m pretty sure that Switzerland doesn’t do that shit yet. =[

No, don’t watch it in 3d. The “Real D”glasses make the movie blurry and dark. Plus, whenever I wear them they hurt my nose for some reason. Trust me, I’ve seen Monsters vs Aliens, Coraline, Beowulf, and probably a few other movies with them and it’s not worth it by a long shot..
