Openly Gay Teen Wins Prom Queen… in L.A.
Check out this article on SFGate. It’s about Sergio Garcia, an openly gay eighteen year old student who just won the title of prom queen at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles.
I think it’s interesting that he won in LA, of all places.

Sony Finally Adds XP Option to VAIO P
Sony’s Atom-powered Vaio P netbook finally has an option allowing Windows XP in the $900 configuration instead of Vista Home Premium, which was once the only option. They also bumped up a few other specs.
I’m sure you’ll notice, however, that the link doesn’t show this as an option because the VGN-P50 is not yet available in the United States.

Wolfram|Alpha and Google Results Compared
There is now a Firefox addon that shows results from Wolfram|Alpha and Google side by side. It’s pretty interesting to see how the two engines handle your search queries together, as well as having both results on one screen to more easily find the information you’re seeking.
Just Hear !t
I’ve seen some cool “listen to anything you want” music engines on the web over the past few months but I think the best one is currently Just Hear !t. The interface is slick and it loads results quickly. What more can you ask for out of an application like this?
