Big Updates to WTC VIP

The VIP section has seen several big updates in the past two days including a new WTC Radio feature as well as a surge of new content. The plan is to continue pumping in new media of all types through the end of the week.

Also, many thanks to everyone who has taken advantage of the current $10 promotion. For some reason, we saw a big spike in donations last night. That’s awesome! As always, we’re going to pour the majority of that money directly back into the site.

Mr. Blue’s “WTC Boobies” Contest

Alright, here’s the deal. Mr. Pink gave me the green light to run a contest this week as part of the big 3,000th post celebration. As you can see from the headline above, I’ve decided to roll out with the first of what I hope will be a recurring WTC Boobies contest.

The goal of this contest is simple: be one of the first three people to get an original photo of an amateur girl, 18 or older, with the letters WTC written on one or both of her boobs. The shot must be topless to count and we must have permission to post the photo on the site.

The winner will receive:

  • A free VIP account.
  • Access to both of the hidden content sections here on the site.
  • A personalized photo from a yet-to-be-introduced Woman of WTC.

As if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, Pink tells me that he’s also willing to throw in a mystery prize. I don’t know what that’s going to be but I can tell you that it’s going to be worth a fair chunk of money.

The Pirate Bay: Sold!

In a surprise move, The Pirate Bay has sold its entire operation to Global Gaming Factory X, a Swedish firm, for around $7.8 million US. The site is set to decentralize and go “legal”.

Details surrounding the sale and what it means for the site are complicated. You can read more in three TorrentFreak articles here, here, and here.

It’s funny how quickly even the most brazen revolutionaries are willing to change their tune when they’re faced with a choice between a pile of money and a prison sentence. It sounds to me like there were some back room deals involved, here. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it comes out that the RIAA and IFPI were somehow involved in this sudden change of heart on the part of TPB’s admins.

R/C Glider at 392MPH

This thing has no motor and yet it hit 392MPH in wind gusts of 45MPH. If that thing were to hit someone at that speed, they’d instagib.

UFC 2009 Undisputed

I got a copy of UFC 2009 Undisputed for the Xbox 360 the other night based on reviews and some time spent playing the demo.

I’ve owned a lot of fighting and wrestling games over the years, so it takes a lot to impress me. UFC 2009, however, has done exactly that. Everything is polished to a high shine, the career mode is a blast, and the blow by blow commentary adds a lot of realism.

The only real problem with the game is the learning curve. You can’t just mash buttons and expect to win in UFC 2009, especially if you’re playing online. You have to learn to time your moves and respond to different types of attacks. I had a hard time with the grappling at first but once you get the basic concept down, it feels natural.

If you want something new and fresh in the fighting genre that will keep you busy for a while, put this one at the top of your list.

F-4 Office Ejection Seat

The F-4 Office Ejection Seat from MotoArt is probably the coolest office chair in the world. I have no idea about price, however, as they require you to contact them to get pricing. I’m guessing that means that if you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it.

Gamer

This looks like it’s going to be a lot like Death Race. It has potential but I’m not holding out hope for anything spectacular.

Steampunk Frankenstein

Steampunk Frankenstein is simultaneously one of the most impressive pieces of steampunk modding and PC modding that you will ever see. There’s a long article complete with tons of photos on Bit-Tech.
