Jack In the Box Testing Electronic Ordering Kiosk

According to this article on The Consumerist, a Jack In the Box restaurant in Bellevue, Washington is testing a new electronic ordering kiosk. It essentially allows you to order your food and pay without ever talking to the greasy teenager behind the counter. It’s an interesting concept that I’m honestly surprised took this look for someone to implement.

Im not surprised at all. The average idiot has no hope of figuring one of these out. What may look simple to us is a total brainfuck to many people, especially the elderly. I for one welcome our new automated ordering kiosk overlords.

They have this electronic ordering in Colorado Springs also. I enjoyed it, the burgers weren’t very impressive however.

We’ve had this for a few months in San Jose, Ca at the Jack in the Box on Blossom Hill. I’ve never used it though. I still order from the person at the counter.
