“Luke” Arm
The “Luke” Arm is the most advanced prosthetic arm prototype available today. Named after the spawn of Anakin and Padme and built by Segway inventor Dean Kamen, the arm uses a pressure sensitive foot control with vibrational feedback relaying gripping strength. Future iterations will use a shoulder joystick or myoelectric switches, which are direct nerve-to-electronic-impulse interfaces.
