Xbox Micro

Bandit5317 over on the Xbox-Scene forums took a page out of Ben Heck’s book with this amazing Xbox Micro mod. It’s damn impressive regardless of the fact that it’s an old school Xbox.

More photos and details here.

The EniCycle

The EniCycle is a self-stabilizing unicycle, created by Slovenian inventor Aleksander Polutnik. It runs on an electric motor and has a gyroscope system that runs one hundred times per second. The website for this thing is terrible but that doesn’t take away from the awesome factor.

Shadow Complex: Review

Mr. Maroon and I have logged some serious time with Shadow Complex over the past two days (and nights). Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you already know that it’s the new side scrolling masterpiece available for download on Xbox Live Arcade.

Describing Shadow Complex is pretty easy. It’s basically the love child of Metroid and Metal Gear Solid with a bit of Splinter Cell and Contra thrown in for good measure. I won’t spoil the story by sharing details but I will say that it has a surprisingly cool plot and really great audio. The visuals are also damn good.

Considering that Shadow Complex is a digitally distributed title, I’d say that it’s damn near perfect. There are a few very minor bugs and glitches here and there but, to be honest, this game is good enough as a whole that I’d be willing to pay for it as though it were a full retail game. The “fun” factor in this one is through the roof and it’s one of those games that you could play through half a dozen times without getting bored. At only 1200 MS Points, it’s a steal.
