Following up on their piece the other day about all of the Marvel films in the works, IGN has an article profiling the top ten upcoming movies from DC Comics. I must say that I’m personally more excited about what DC has to offer than what Marvel is bringing to the table – especially now that Disney is involved in Marvel’s productions.
What about you guys? Which comic giant do you tend to read more from?
I wouldn’t worry about Disney being involved too much, at least not yet. For one thing, most of the films are well underway in development or at another studio (Fox, 20th Cent. and Sony), for another, Disney can still make some good films – such as the Pirates franchise, the only thing that worries me now is that apparently the guy who left was very important in bringing Pirates to the screen so who knows. As to DC, with the fits and starts they’ve had over the past several years, the Batman franchise is the only success they’ve had for a long time. So many other movies on (or not on the list) died in a horrifying piff (Wonder Woman, JLA) that I won’t expect anything to be on the screen until I actually see it – on the screen – LOL
