Police: Teen Rolled Joint In Ripped Bible Page

According to this report on UPI, police in Sandusky, Ohio arrested a sixteen year old boy for drug possession after his mom ratted him out. That’s not the real story, here, though. The real story is that he used a page ripped out of his Bible to roll the joint he was caught with.

Magnet Pills

Daniel Kohane and his team at Children’s Hospital Boston have developed a novel approach to the intermittent drug dosing necessary in cancer, chronic pain, and diabetes therapies.

According to this report from Science Daily, the device encapsulates the drugs in a membrane containing magnetite nanoparticles. If you hit the device with a magnetic field, the particles heat up their surrounding membrane and create pores that the drug can then diffuse through. The pores will close again if the magnetism is removed, creating an “on-off” switch.

These devices could greatly reduce the hospital stay duration of patients suffering from the aforementioned conditions by treating themselves in their own homes, saving physicians time and their patients’ bank accounts.
