Google CEO On Privacy: Not Our Problem

According to Google CEO Eric Schmidt, privacy is our problem – not Google’s.

His exact words?

“If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.”

I’d give it a month at most before someone finds something incriminating about Schmidt and posts it online for all to see.

  1. already happened. some of his personal information from google searches about where he lives and how much he makes was published on CNet and Google blacklisted their sites. double standard much.

  2. It’s probably just an excuse for the failing security of Google Chrome or Wave or whatever the fuck they’re calling their crap. More reason for me to ban Google products apart from the search engine.

  4. That’s what he said. That’s not what is meant. That article is a great example of poor ‘journalism’. The fact that it was reposted here perpetuates the same misunderstanding.
