This is the teaser trailer for the new Medal of Honor game. It premiered just a few days ago during the Video Game Awards on Spike TV. It looks great. A lot of people are calling it a “rip” of the Call of Duty games…
…but a lot of people forget that Call of Duty was a “rip” of Medal of Honor. (It’s disturbing to think that most of the kiddies who play Modern Warfare 2 on XBL were only five or six years old when the first Medal of Honor came out.)

Sure, Call Of Duty is a Medal Of Honor rip, back when CoD was set around WWII. Infinity Ward, as shitty as they are, modeled CoD into something completely new and amazing. If I had to re-phrase what people have been saying, I’d say this is a Modern Warfare rip, if anything.
Nevermind the four year gap between the first Medal of Honor (1999) and the first Call of Duty (2003).
Things changed a bit graphics-wise during those four years, man.
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t MoH have leaning? IMO leaning separates an arcade-style over the top war game from something a bit more realistic. I always felt MoH was more conservative while CoD was all about over the top action.
Honestly, from a gamer’s perspective, I couldn’t give a shit which is a clone of which. I remember playing the original MoH and CoD years ago when console gamers didn’t even know what a FPS was, and I’m just glad to see that gaming has advanced as much as it has. So as long as the game delivers and is FUN, that’s all that matters.
