The RMS Olympic. One of 3 sisters, and the only one which didn’t sink.

    The other two were:
    HMHS Britannic,
    and RMS Titanic.

Yep….Britannic hit a mine and sank in 1916.

If you want to call it lucky, the Britannic was inbound to the battlefields in the WW1 Mediterranean theater. She was rounding the Greek island of Kea when she hit a mine (some people still maintain it was a torpedo, so the vote’s still out) and sank with 30 lives lost. If she had sunk outbound to England and thus full of war-patients, the casualty list could easily have beaten the 2,200 lives lost onboard the Titanic.

The Titanic used to be a hobby of mine. -_^
