Just four days away from release, James Cameron’s science fiction epic Avatar has sold 2.7 million Blu-ray discs to consumers in the U.S. and Canada. That’s more than any previous movie has sold. The previous record holder, The Dark Knight, has sold 2.5 million Blu-rays since its debut 16 months ago.
This is a travesty. Avatar was decent and all but I’d rather watch The Dark Knight any day.
Thank you. I’ve been saying it forever, but everyone thinks I’m crazy. Avatar was good, but it is way too overrated. It’s not the greatest movie of all time. It’s not even close.
There are some really crappy things about Dark Knight, great movie but Maggie Gyllenhall ruined the movie for me. She’s supposed to be this amazing beauty that Bruce and Harvey fall in love with and…she’s hideous. And she sucked at acting, that’s all I could think of when she came on screen. Avatar was at least visually stunning and makes you feel better than DK.
People are gonna be real upset when they get home, watch it in 2D and realize what a bad movie it actually is.
