Crazy Taxi, Quake Arena, and Jet Set Radio Headed to Xbox Live Arcade
Several gaming sites are reporting that Crazy Taxi, Quake Arena, and Jet Set Radio are all headed to the Xbox Live Arcade sometime this year.
There’s no word yet on pricing or hard release dates but there are a few menu screenshots floating around that serve as strong evidence.
I’m particularly excited about the possibility of Crazy Taxi. That was easily the best game released for the Sega Dreamcast.

Scoring a Run the Hard Way
Fordham University infielder Brian Kownacki avoided the tag at home in perhaps the most unusual (and utterly impressive) way possible.

District 9 Sequel In the Works
Several sources have confirmed that Neill Blomkamp and Peter Jackson are working on a sequel to District 9, one of the biggest science fiction film hits in recent years. The movie is already in pre-production and shooting begins in October of this year, meaning that we should see it in theaters by 2012. The project is being referred to as District 10 at this point, although the title is likely to change once the script is final.

YouTube Rental Service
YouTube quietly launched their new online rental service a few days ago. I’m not sure why there wasn’t more buzz about this. Perhaps they’re approaching it as a public beta? In any case, it’s an interesting idea but they’re unfortunately late to the game. Netflix has the market cornered and it’s cheaper. I see this going the way of the Dodo in a hurry.
Seven Former Infinity Ward Employees Join West and Zampella at Respawn Entertainment
Things continue to look worse for Activision these days.
A total of seven former Infinity Ward developers have signed on with Vince Zampella and Jason West under their new Respawn Entertainment flag. This includes two lead designers, two lead animators, one lead environmental artist, one software engineer, and one programmer from Modern Warfare 2.
It will only be a matter of time before they announce some awesome new project, I’m sure.

Tecmo Bowl Throwback: Debut Trailer
I was worried about this one when it was first announced but if this trailer is any indication of what the final product will look like, then I’m sold.
