Microsoft and Lionhead Studios plan to release Fable III in episodic format over Xbox Live once the game hits retail. In other words, you can buy the game as a whole up front for one lump sum or you can purchase it in “chapters” over XBL. They did this with Fable II and generated a lot of extra sales, so this move makes good business sense for them.

How lame… but you r right about it being a good buisness deal.
Or you could wait for the platinum hits edition. Fable II has it. 19.99 USD and it already includes the extra content you don’t even have to install it.
Very similar thing happened with the Fallout 3 GotY edition and teh Oblivion GotY edition that included all the downloadable content (that mattered for Oblivion) for the same retail price as the original edition. Then you could buy it used for about 10 bucks less or even 20 bucks less. Buying console games that aren“t really multiplayer oriented at launch is a waste of money. That I have done and learned from!
