I did something just about this stupid many years ago.

I have played hockey ever since I was about 3 or 4, and I am very comfortable on skates and inline skates. When in high school, I had a friend tow me at 80mph along a road (at night!) and then I let go of his car and just coasted from 80 to 20 or so. One pothole and I’d be toast. Didn’t realize how dangerous it was until years later.

I drive that road once a fortnight… I really wish I had seen that live. Imagine some guy cruising by your window on skates when you are doing the speed limit (100kmh). Or even just appearing in your rear vision mirror …Awesome

I fucking wished I lived in NZ, I hit about 40 on my longboard today, but not that fast, and not that long either. I’m practically drooling.

Goddamnit. My oldest and best friend does this shit. I constantly try to put some sense into his head, but there’s no convincing people like this.
He’s a super successful dude, clearing well over six figures a year, he’s well balanced, super smart (a mechanical engineer for a multinational co.) get’s good looking girls (my fiancee is still hotter than any girls he gets, but he used to date her, that’s another story) and he’s got the fucking world by the balls, on pace to retire in 7 years (at the ripe old age of 35) and yet he still insists on doing anything he can to chase a thrill and disregard his future.
I love skydiving and things like that, but goddamnit, I just don’t get things like this. I guess I’ll just stick to my safe lifestyle, where the only risk is disgruntled students and or parents. : ( And of course driving everyday. Now that shit is dangerous!
