Funny how excited everyone was in the audience. Also, that’s a guy that didn’t get laid in high school.
That said, his skills are fucking amazing. If you told me the video was faked, I’d believe it. This guy has to be the best there is, I’m guessing. Nobody would be able to come up to the stage and show him up, right? I’m not sure if any wtc readers follow the professional freestyle yoyo circuit.
I was heavily into yo-yos about 8 years ago, and apart from the music, there isn’t much thats new in that routine. It’s definitely good, but not unbeatable.
What sets him apart as a champion is just the flow of his moves, the presentation and actually hitting the more difficult ones
Like with all things, it’s all practice,
and the audience know the difficulty of some of the moves, thats why they get excited. As with any other show of skills
I cant believe there’s that much money in Yo-yo’ing. Look at all those sponsors, wtf?

No offence, but it never ceases to amaze me the strange and diverse hobbies and pastimes this community is into. I don’t think I know a single person in the flesh that could ever say that they were “heavily into yo-yos” at any point in their life. And I’ve been some places, and I’ve met some people.

Dunno about the second part but Jensen owns his own online store selling yo-yo’s (modernyoyoing.com) and gets to travel the world doing what he loves for free. I’d trade a job for that any day.

there is plenty of yoyoers that get laid, have jobs and lead normal lives. Jensen is the real deal and will continue to be. yoyoing isn’t that strange compared to say..collecting trains.
