Realtime Worlds, the British game developer that just put out All Points Bulletin (APB) – a cops and robbers MMO, appears to be suffering serious financial woes.
After eliminating sixty positions last week, they’re now filing for the British equivalent of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company’s corporate office, which is based in Colorado at the same site as their online operations center, put out a statement saying that APB won’t be impacted regardless of what happens… but it’s not looking good at this point.
Rumor has it that Activision has already swooped in to cherry pick the best developers out of the crew that was cut from the company last week. There are over two hundred still working at Realtime Worlds, at least for now.

This is all because they didn’t get to do the crackdown sequel. Great game.
APB seemed interesting, but it wouldn’t even load for me. (Grated I was using Wine, but still… TF2 and WoW both work great)
APB seems great… but it has been obvious to me since i started playing the game in its beta that the devs seemed to be in it just for the money.
Seemed like i was right..
