A sixty mile traffic jam to the west of Beijing, China has finally been cleared after more than ten days. Authorities estimate that as many as 10,000 drivers were stuck – many of them for several days. The jam was caused by road work.
Residents living along the highway reportedly made an absolute fortune selling food to the drivers stuck on the highway for outrageous prices.
Unbelievable how so many just stay in their cars during the ten days. I know if it were me, my health would take priority over my car. I’d get out of there, walk to a B&B or something and go back once the problem is over.
