Walmart to “Aggressively” Invade Convenience Store Industry

Having conquered the “big box” world of retail goods, Walmart is now setting its sights on the convenience store industry. The company has an “aggressive” plan to roll out a new chain of stores aimed at competing with established chains like 7-11 and AM/PM.

This is bad news for privately owned corner stores.

    Walmart needs to die already.

I live in Phoenix, the Marketside stores are closer to grocery stores than they are to convince stores like Circle K or AM/PM. The target is Safeway, Krogers, and local grocery stores. Just my $0.02.

I cant see Wally-world competing with AM/PM since almost every single one sells gasoline. But 7-11, fuck them anyways, they’ll too fucking overpriced. You really only go into a 7-11 out of necessity more than convenience.

I usually go to whatever store is closer and open. Walmart would have to put out a metric-fuck-ton of stores for me to be swayed to walk or drive any amount of extra feet.
