Jimi Heselden, the owner of the UK Segway company, rode one of the two wheeled scooters over a cliff and into the River Wharfe near his home in West Yorkshire yesterday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Heselden was 62 years old.

Got to give it to the inventor, he was responsible and took one for the team, showing how dangerous these things really are.
Actually he didnt invent it, he just bought the company last year. I’ve heard of bad investments, but this is ridiculous!

Sad news this the guy was a self made millionnaire. Left school when he was 15 and his company ended up producing those giant sandbag things that encircle military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan shielding troops from rocket attacks. Also he gave £10 million away a few weeks ago to charities … think he gave £23million in total.
Still, the Segway thing is unfortunately funny. At least he’ll be remembered I guess.
