EA Support Shows Mercy to APB Customers

There are reports popping up all over the web that APB customers stranded by the fall of developer Realtime Worlds have been able to convince EA support reps to compensate them with everything from $20 discount codes for the EA Store to pre-orders for games of equivalent value – such as Dragon Age II.

If you bought APB and want your money back, it’s worth at least trying to talk to support. Not everyone has been successful, which is odd, but the gamers who have been are coming out smelling like roses.

Kids Cover The Foo Fighters – Everlong

With a bit of voice training, this little girl will be an awesome singer someday.

Her brother, on the other hand, is already a goddamn rock star. He shredded that guitar.

Verizon CEO Announces Plans to Screw Loyal Customers

Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg announced plans today to eliminate unlimited data plans sometime in the next four to six months, instead forcing customers onto tiered plans. Even if you have a contract, you’re shit out of luck.

In other words, it’s time for me to find a new cell carrier.

Mad Max Returns

Remember the Mad Max series that launched Mel Gibson to stardom almost thirty years ago? It’s apparently coming back – both as a movie and a video game.

George Miller, the director responsible for the original trilogy, is currently working on Mad Max: Fury Road. Meanwhile, Avalanche Studios (makers of Just Cause 2) are rumored to be hard at work on an accompanying video game with the help of God of War II producer Cory Barlog. Neither Barlog nor Avalanche will confirm anything at this time.

If this is true, then my prayers have been answered. The only thing that could make this any cooler is if the game turns out to be some kind of MMO.

The Complete SNL on Netflix Watch Instantly

Netflix and NBC announced a deal today that will make every episode of Saturday Night Live ever recorded available through the Watch Instantly streaming video feature.

That means you’ll be able to watch classic episodes via your PC, Xbox 360, PS3, or any other media device you have that happens to support Netflix. New episodes of the show will be added to the Watch Instantly queue the day after they air on network television.

This is quite possibly the best news of the year so far.
