Windows 8: Coming 2012?

Microsoft supposedly claimed on its Dutch news site – of all places – that Windows 8 is “about two years away” from market. That means that we should see it sometime in 2012.

I’m still not used to all of the changes from XP to 7 and they’re already talking about their next operating system? God damn it.

Actually I was an XP user until 7, skipped Vista, and I found that I adapted to Windows 7′s features without too much work pretty quickly. Most of the most used features are fairly intuitive (yeah, I said that about a Microsoft product). Technically my system is barely able to run 7, and that’s true, but I actually find it runs just as smooth as XP ever did.

Imagine if I spent just a couple of hours on a “new features” tutorial.

I also imagine that Window 8 will be less radical of an update than 7 from XP. Also, if 8 arrives late 2012, that’s also 2 YEARS away.

Updates are good… Linux is better.

7 will do fine for the next 5 years.

Dam that sucks… i like Win 7! It will probably be 3 to 4 years.

If MS goes the vista route and makes a huge, unstable resource monster then windows 8 will suck. Hopefully they actually improve windows 7 though…

I hate 7 because of the “streamlining” AKA hiding shit. Long live XP
