Exactly how did women do that to themselves?
If women didn’t buy the costumes, companies wouldn’t sell them. Go look at any costume shop. Anywhere. Pretty much all they sell are outfits bordering on lingerie because those are what rake in the profits.
I’m not saying that I think it’s a bad thing.
It’s living vicariously through a character… guys wish they were more “powerful” toward women, that comes off as superpowers and action-figure-ism… girls wish they were more “powerful” toward men, and correct me if I’m wrong, that comes off as “raunchy” versions of nurses, mistresses, and various other women that have power over men when they are in need…….
