Netflix Accounted for 95% of Peak Bandwidth in Canada During the “Watch Instantly” Launch
Netflix finally rolled out its streaming service in Canada a few weeks ago. Based on the rough numbers in this ZDNet article, I think it’s safe to say that the launch was a success.
It’s only a matter of time before Netflix execs realize that they can charge subscribers more for access to the “Watch Instantly” function. Of course, if they were to make everything in their library available, then they could charge several times what they’re charging now.
I have no doubt in my mind that people would pay.

DX/D2 Overclocker
If you happen to own a Droid X or Droid 2 and you’ve been thinking about overclocking it, there’s now a simple app called DX/D2 Overclocker that does exactly that without the fuss. There’s no need to load a custom kernel and there are no complicated config menus to wade through. You just select your desired speed and apply the changes.
There’s even a stress testing function that allows you to test various voltages to determine what your particular phone can handle.
Man Asks Police to Test His Marijuana
A man in Uniontown, Pennsylvania wasn’t about to let his dealer get away with selling him what he believed to be fake marijuana. So, he did what anyone would do – he called the police and asked them to come to his house and test it for him to see what it was.
I believe we have a candidate for dumbass of the century, here.
