Iran announced early yesterday that the country’s first nuclear power plant is operational ahead of scheduled talks with Western powers regarding their controversial nuclear plans. According to atomic chief Ali Akbar Salehi, however, it will be four to eight weeks before power generated at the plant is connected to the national power grid.
