The Raw Story reports that a classified directive signed by Hillary Clinton ordered U.S. diplomats to spy on high ranking officials within the United Nations. Her targets included UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon as well as ambassadors to the UN Security Council from China, Russia, France and the United Kingdom.
This, of course, is yet another revelation coming from the Wikileaks release of more than 250,000 diplomatic cables from the U.S. Embassy yesterday.
Surprising? Hardly, I’d say.
It’s kind of implied at that political level that everybody spies on everybody, isn’t it? Every foreign diplomat probably has the same directive, I’d be willing to bet my life on it
Yeah, I don’t think that’s at all surprising. When you get to that level of foreign policy, everyone is collecting dirt on everyone else. Just how the game is played.
