Hillary Clinton Ordered U.S. Diplomats to Spy On the UN
The Raw Story reports that a classified directive signed by Hillary Clinton ordered U.S. diplomats to spy on high ranking officials within the United Nations. Her targets included UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon as well as ambassadors to the UN Security Council from China, Russia, France and the United Kingdom.
This, of course, is yet another revelation coming from the Wikileaks release of more than 250,000 diplomatic cables from the U.S. Embassy yesterday.

Saudi Arabia Urges U.S. Attack Against Iran
One of the more disturbing things to come out of the U.S. Embassy cables released by Wikileaks yesterday is the knowledge that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has on several occasions urged the United States to launch a military strike against Iran in a bid to end their nuclear program. He referred to it on one occasion as, “cut[ting] off the head of the snake”.
This is going to turn into a shit storm.

Spanish Woman Claims Owernship Over the Sun
Angeles Duran, a 49 year old woman from Spain, has claimed ownership over the sun. It sounds strange but she somehow managed to convince a local notary public to register it as her property. Duran is now planning to charge everyone who uses the sun, giving most of the proceeds back to the Spanish government and toward a campaign to stop hunger.

The Halo: Reach Edition Xbox 360 Cake
It’s one thing to bake an Xbox 360 shaped cake to show your love for the system.
It’s another thing entirely, however, to bake a Halo: Reach edition Xbox 360 shaped cake. That’s just taking fanboyism to a whole new level.

Peter Jackson Pulls Out the Stops for The Hobbit 3D
Peter Jackson plans to use thirty EPIC cameras from RED, maker of some of the most expensive (and sophisticated) video cameras in the world. Each EPIC costs $58,000. They can shoot at up to 120fps, however, and they’re said to have the highest dynamic range of anything on the market.
This is very good news for Tolkien fans.

Wikileaks Under DDoS Attack
Wikileaks is currently under a mass DDoS attack. Their domain is unreachable as of this posting. It’s anyone’s guess as to who’s to blame – but there’s a good chance that it’s one of the many countries impacted by the release of the U.S. Embassy cables this morning.
Der Spiegel Releases U.S. Embassy Cables
Der Spiegel has released all 250,000+ of the U.S. Embassy cables that it acquired from Wikileaks. Needless to say, there’s a lot of reading to be done.
