StarCraft II Multi-touch
Students in the Lowell Robotics Lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst put together this incredible StarCraft II multi-touch gaming environment using a pair of relatively inexpensive 22″ 3M monitors. It actually worked right out of the box. No custom hacking or software development necessary!

The Dark Knight Rises
The title of Christopher Nolan’s third run at the Batman film franchise is no longer a mystery. The movie is going to be called The Dark Knight Rises and it has an expected release date of July 20, 2012.
As expected, Christian Bale will reprise his role as Batman. He’s joined by Tom Hardy, who played Eames in Inception. Hardy’s role isn’t known at this point. He’s either going to be a villain… or perhaps Robin?

U.S. Government Contacting Allies Regarding Wikileaks?
According to the Wikileaks Twitter feed, the U.S. government is scrambling to speak to allies regarding the whistleblower’s next disclosure. White House officials, including Secretary of State and former first lady Hillary Clinton, have supposedly spoken with heads of state and security in Israel, Norway, and Denmark. It’s safe to assume that they’re not done, either.
Wikileaks has all but confirmed that the next release is in fact going to be the encryption key for the “insurance” documents distributed via BitTorrent last summer. Based on this tweet, however, it sounds like it won’t be nearly as shocking as they’re making it out to be.

This is the product of a 210fps camera mounted on a tripod inside a train capturing footage as it rolls into the station. (It’s playing back at the standard 30fps, here.)

Giving Thanks

Considering that it’s turkey day here in the states, I wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate you all for continuing to support the site. I’m especially thankful for the VIP audience. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to keep this place running.
