Square Enix launched an interesting teaser site for something Chrono Trigger related yesterday. It appears to be some sort of mobile port of the famed Super Nintendo RPG.
If that’s really what it is, we may never hear from Mr. Maroon again.

How many times can they port the fucking game? Make a real god damn sequel. Radical Dreamers was never officially translated and Chrono Cross didn’t answer any questions and brought up dozens more. I want a new Chrono game, damnit!
If the original Final Fantasy is any indication, Square can port a game as many times as they fucking want and they will make money. FF1 saw a re-release on the NES in Japan, a Wonderswan Color port with SNES quality graphics, a port of that to the Playstation, another port of the WSC version to the GBA, a PSP version with even better sprites, and a port of the PSP version to the iPhone/iPod Touch.
Chrono Trigger is going to get its 3rd port because it’s a fucking awesome game and people will keep buying it.
I doubt we’ll see Chrono 3 anytime soon since the creator of Chrono Trigger is now the director of Final Fantasy XIV.
