Dyson Unveils Digital Slim Vacuum
I wouldn’t normally post about a vacuum cleaner but considering that the motor in the brand new Dyson Digital Slim spins at five times the speed of a Formula 1 engine, I’m willing to make an exception. As you can see, there’s no bag and really not much else to the unit itself. It’s cordless, can run for about 15 minutes on a single charge, and features a sort of “boost” mode that provides additional suction for up to six minutes.
It should retail for around $300 US when it ships.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Players Log 600 Million Hours of Game Time In First 45 Days
According to numbers released by Activision, more than 20 million Call of Duty: Black Ops players racked up a mind-blowing 600 million hours of game time in the first 45 days after release. That’s an average of 87 minutes per day, per player.
I’m pretty sure it’s time to put down the controller (or mouse) and go outside for a while.

25% of Kids In the United States Take Prescription Medication
According to a report from Medco Health Solutions, Inc., the largest health benefits manager in the United States, roughly one out of every four children here is taking some sort of prescription medication. Of that 25%, about 7% are taking at least two medications.
You have to wonder how many of those prescriptions are for Ritalin.

Feds Investigating Christine O’Donnell
Christine O’Donnell, the lunatic who somehow won the Delaware primary earlier this year only to be slaughtered by opponent Chris Coons during the general election, is now facing a federal investigation for supposedly using a portion of her campaign funds to cover personal expenses according to a new report from the Associated Press.
She may not be a witch… but it certainly sounds like she may be a crook.

Arizona Sheriff Holds Caroling Contest for Jail Inmates, Gives Winner and Cellmates Real Turkey Dinner
Joe Arpaio, the immigrant-hating Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona who has been sued by everyone from employees to families of inmates in his jail and who has for the past four months been under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department, pulled perhaps his biggest publicity stunt yet last week.
He and his staff actually held a caroling contest at the Maricopa County Jail. Inmates competed for a chance to win a real turkey dinner complete with real mashed potatoes and Christmas cookies. Arpaio, Santa Claus, and Elfis, the singing detention officer, served as judges for the contest. The winner, Jodi Arias, was the subject of a 48 Hours segment at one point. She’s facing a murder charge.
The Beauty of Pixar
There are more than 500 scenes from Pixar films in this clip.
…and for those of you whose ears are working properly, the ridiculously awesome opening track is The XX – Intro.
