Oldest Human Remains Found In Israel?
A team of scientists at Tel Aviv University who have been excavating a cave in central Israel told the media on Monday they found teeth that were roughly 400,000 years old – twice the age of bones found in Ethiopia that were at one point thought to be the oldest. If their claim turns out to be true, these new remains would be the oldest known human bones on Earth. Our image of evolution would change substantially.
Some experts think that it’s premature to say that the remains are from modern humans, however. More testing will be required before the scientific community accepts the find as anything more than a significant discovery of bones from our ancient relatives.

Traxxas Makes R/C Version of Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta
Traxxas, maker of high-end R/C cars, just released a new 1/16th model of Ken Block’s amazing custom Ford Fiesta. It’s capable of 30mph stock or 50mph with a few upgrades, which is ridiculous considering that it’s a toy. But then again, it runs about $300, so I’d be expecting something impressive.

Lightning Captured On X-Ray
For the first time ever, scientists have captured a photo of a bolt of lightning with an x-ray camera. Scientists have known for several years that lightning emits radiation but the image below is the first shot in existence that actually proves it.
Gorillaz – The Fall
Over the course of a month during their last tour, the Gorillaz recorded a complete 15 track album using nothing but an iPad. The end result is a hot mess of electronic sounds and occasionally decent melodies.
In other words, it’s a Gorillaz album.
The entire project is available for free on the band’s website. All you have to do is provide them with a valid email address and you can download the entire thing. No DRM, either.

Michigan Man Facing Felony Conviction, Five Years In Prison for Reading His Cheating Wife’s Email
Leon Walker, 33, is facing a felony charge that carries a sentence of five years in prison for reading his cheating wife’s email in an attempt to verify that she was in fact cheating on him with her violent second husband. (Walker is her third husband.)
Prosecutors are relying on a relatively vague Michigan statute that’s otherwise been used to prosecute crimes like identity theft. They’re trying to peg Walker for forwarding some of the emails in his wife’s account to the woman’s first husband, who is the father of her son.
Walker gained access to the account using a password written in a book next to her laptop.
