The Second Annual WTC Holiday Extravaganza
What, did you actually think we’d let Christmas come and go without holding our second annual WTC Holiday Extravaganza? Not a chance!
In addition to the VIP Holiday Motherload, which we’ve been working hard on for the past two weeks, we’re once again giving away a pile of cool shit to a handful of lucky VIPs.
Here’s the loot list for 2010:
- 1x Call of Duty: Black Ops*
- 1x Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood*
- 1x Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit*
- 1x TRON: Legacy Soundtrack CD
* Winner picks format (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
We’re also going to pick one extremely lucky VIP who will receive a $150 “shopping spree” on Steam. (The winner gives us their list and we buy them the games.)
Winners will be selected at random from the pool of paid VIP accounts on Christmas Day. (Sorry, free accounts won’t be eligible. It just wouldn’t be fair.)
Connecticut Man Brings iPhone to Knife Fight, Loses
When 20 year old Jerome Taylor loudly burst into the Northern Indian restaurant in New London, Connecticut wearing a mask and waving a weapon around, he probably didn’t expect the restaurant’s cooks to respond by threatening him with huge kitchen knives. Nor did the chefs likely expect Taylor to immediately begin apologizing because his “gun” was in fact a completely harmless iPhone.
Sadly, Taylor’s reason for the attempted robbery was that he needed money for his child – most likely for Christmas presents. The restaurant employees felt so bad for him, in fact, that they asked police not to press charges. The police couldn’t let the crime slide, however, and booked Taylor on charges of attempted robbery and interfering with an officer.

Thrustmaster Unveils $600 Racing Wheel
Thrustmaster is taking racing games to the next level with the unveiling of their insane new T500 RS racing wheel for the PS3.
Built with Gran Turismo 5 in mind, the T500 RS features everything a hardcore racing game fan could ask for: a 65W industrial motor to create realistic force feedback, full 1080 degree rotation (for three complete turns in either direction), and fully adjustable settings for virtually every aspect of both the wheel and foot pedals.
Of course, one would expect as much from a controller that costs twice the console.

Bank of America Buying Negative Domain Names In Anticipation of Wikileaks Disclosure
Bank of America has been buying up hundreds of domain names related to how they or their executives “suck” or “blow” in apparent anticipation of a disclosure from Wikileaks according to this report on Domain Name Wire.
I think this more or less confirms that they’ve been doing something very, very bad.
