Someone leaked a screenshot of the character selection screen for Mortal Kombat 9. It’s an interesting mix of old and new fighters. You can probably figure out who’s who from the image but if not, Kotaku has a breakdown.
Spoiler: Some of the fighters are DLC. It’s sad that even NetherRealm is jumping on the “announce DLC before the game is even out on the market” bandwagon.
I work with a some younger guys, one of em is 17 and i was talkin to him about DLC and him and his friends like it because “…its quicker to DL it than to go buy it, plus it adds replay value to the game.” Yeah….the game companies are winning this one, unfortunately.
Damn kids don’t remember the days when shooters came with 30+ maps. It’s a crying shame, honestly.
DLC: once the first few caved, all hell broke loose.
I don’t mind DLC for cosmetic changes to a game, but getting DLC announced before release is just sad. I want to buy a whole game, not about a third.
I remember when you unlocked content by actually playing the game.
