Dilbert Creator Angers Women Everywhere

A few days ago, Dilbert creator Scott Adams asked readers on his blog to choice his next topic for him. An overwhelming majority voted for him to talk about men’s rights activism.

Adams published an article on the subject – and then quickly removed it after causing quite a backlash among his female readership. Here’s an excerpt from the post:

The reality is that women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently. It’s just easier this way for everyone. You don’t argue with a four-year old about why he shouldn’t eat candy for dinner. You don’t punch a mentally handicapped guy even if he punches you first. And you don’t argue when a women tells you she’s only making 80 cents to your dollar. It’s the path of least resistance. You save your energy for more important battles.

Canadian Government Could Fall Today

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his minority government could face defeat this afternoon as the opposition moves toward a vote of no confidence. The move would bring an end to five years of Conservative control over the country by forcing an election.

iPad 2 Hash Uncovered

A member of Dev Team, one of several groups working toward a jailbreak for the new iPad, announced via Twitter yesterday that the group has in fact discovered the hash for the device. It should only be a few weeks now before they’re able to put together a full exploit – and then we can really see what the new hardware is capable of.
