Schwarzenegger Wants to Play Terminator Again

According to Hollywood Reporter, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s managers are shopping around ideas for yet another Terminator sequel in which the former governor of California would reprise his role as everyone’s favorite death machine from the future.

Considering the horrible mess that was Terminator 3, I really hope this doesn’t happen.

It was far from a horrible mess.

I agree, calling Terminator 3 a horrible mess is an insult to horrible messes everywhere.

      That was your point, right?

I’m not talking about Salvation. Salvation was actually decent. I’m talking about Terminator 3. The one with Geri Ryan.

T3 was awful, sorry. Salvation was indeed worth watching and I’m bummed it didnt do better, McG had planned 2 more to follow it. Also Sarah Connor Chronicles was awesome, first season was a bit shakey but by the end of season 2 most people where hooked. I mean come on…Giant black terminator piloting a nuclear sub, how much cooler can you get?

The plot of the new film is easy to figure out given Schwarzenegger’s age.

The machines have finally figured out why they were so crap at killing a woman and a boy (Twas the Y2K bug). Now they are thinking straight, a new OAP version of the Terminator has been built to infiltrate the old folks home where Sarah’s grand pappy (Bob) lives. Once there, Arnie will ask Bob where his son was born. Once this information is retrieved, Arnie will then “die” of old age.

In the future, the machines will dig up Arnie and revive him. He will then tell them about Wikipedia and then ramble on for ages about how they don’t know they were born and how easy they have it now, before finaly getting to the point that had they simply looked up wikipedia they could have found out everything they wanted to know.

The rest of the film is the huge struggle between the machines and Arnie as they try to get him to shut the fuck up about the war and how expensive sock have become.

Ive been thinking that this should happen. Personally I loved Salvation. I dont know why everyone thinks it was so bad. I am not a bad critic of films and that one really rang true to T1 and T2 as well as taking it to a new level of quality and intrigue. Im happy T3 is old news. I wish to see another installment by McG. Arnold can play the man who the T800 was modeled after. Hes aged considerably which actually goes well with this idea. I think he would work with John connor and Reece which would compound the reason John sends the T800 into the past. Because he has fond memories of the man it was modeled after, on top of the T800 saving him in his youth. I think they all go up against T800′s and we get to see an army of Arnolds which would be amazing! I really cant wait till we have digital reproductions of old actors. I think we will be in a new age of film then. Then the arnold we all loved back in his Predator days can go on in more action films.

Anyway. Salvation should only be the beginning. It really was a great film. I loved Sam Worthington’s character and the whole idea behind it. Kinda pisses me off that people couldnt appreciate that film more. I dare say that it was the best movie of the entire franchise.

    He said he’d be back.

Tron: Legacy did a digital reproduction of Jeff Bridges. It wasn’t too bad in my mind, until I figured it out and started looking at it closer and then you could see it was re-produced.

Wow, really? I watched a low res divx version and every time that face showed up on the screen I was immediately taken out of the movie. I mean, I was expecting just a fun action movie and that’s what it was, but the face just absolutely ruined it.
