Hothead Developing Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Games
Following the announcement of a new DeathSpank title this morning, Hothead Games also revealed that they’re working on a game series based on the famous Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy books. They’ve already launched a teaser site, which uses Quicktime for some bizarre reason. Megadodo Publications is handling publishing.
Expect to see more about this at E3 2011.

Zynga to Issue $10 Billion IPO
If the rumors are true, social game maker Zynga is on the verge of issuing an IPO backed by Goldman-Sachs and other major banks to the tune of $10 billion. That would make them the second most valuable video game publisher in the world behind Activision Blizzard.
Yes, you read that correctly: FarmVille is about to eclipse EA and Ubisoft.

If you haven’t played either of the first two games in the series, you really ought to give them a shot. They’re basically comedy versions of Diablo.

Minecraft On Android!
Markus “Notch” Persson, head of Mojang, tweeted this picture of a very early build of Minecraft running on the Sony Xperia Play today. Mojang will be at E3 to show it off.
I foresee a lot of lost productivity at businesses around the world because of this port.

Take Shelter
Interesting that two actors from Boardwalk Empire ended up in a movie together. And it looks awesome, to boot. Reminds me a bit of Signs.
