Sony Expecting $3.2 Billion Loss For 2010
Sony plans to release their fiscal year 2010 earnings report on Thursday and it’s not going to be a happy day for the company’s stockholders. According to the revised financial forecast released today, they’re expecting to post a $3.2 billion loss. They also say that the hacks of their various online gaming systems in recent weeks have already cost $170 million.
Fortunately for them, the hacks occurred after the last fiscal year had already ended.
Modern Warfare 3 Not Using Quake III Engine
According to a Twitter post from Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling, the next Modern Warfare game doesn’t use the Quake III engine.
It’s about damn time. And on the subject of MW3, we’ll release the world exclusive gameplay video as soon as it airs tonight, so be sure to check back for that.

Netflix Prepping For European Invasion?
If their current job listings are any indication, Netflix is beefing up to expand its streaming services far beyond the North American market. You may remember that their CEO, Reed Hastings, said last year that if the Canadian launch was successful, the company would focus on the European market next.
Netflix has yet to make an official announcement regarding its plans for future growth but the writing is most definitely on the wall at this point.
Droid 3 Details Leaked
Gadget news site Techno Buffalo is reporting that the Droid 3 from Motorola will feature a 4″ qHD screen, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU similar to the one found in the Droid X2, a slide out keyboard, and a front facing camera.
There’s no official word on this from Motorola, of course, but Techno Buffalo has been spot on about their products several times in the past.
