Rival Hackers Out Lulz Security
Less than 24 hours after Lulz Security declared an end to their global campaign against big government and corporate tyranny, a rival group known as the A-Team has outed the group’s members, sharing their real identities, locations, and a great deal of personal information.
Obviously, Lulz knew this was coming and it was clearly the driving force behind their sudden disappearance. If the information weren’t legitimate, they’d have said so by now. Instead, it’s radio silence on their end of the line – likely because they’re hiding.

Lulz Security Calling It Quits?
Lulz Security (wisely) declared an abrupt end to their two month hacking campaign today, reducing their chances of capture and unmasking by either the authorities or online enemies. They marked the occasion with the release of more stolen documents, a large chunk of which belong to AT&T and outline the build of a brand new wireless broadband network.
However, just because they aren’t hacking anymore doesn’t mean we’ve heard the last of the “crew of six”, as they refer to themselves in their final press release. According to an interview with a member conducted by the Associated Press via Skype, the group has an archive of more than 5GB of stolen documents that they plan to release over the next three weeks.

New York Legalizes Gay Marriage
The New York Senate passed the controversial Marriage Equality Act last night, making same-sex marriage legal across the state. After months of intense debate from both sides of the aisle, the measure passed by a narrow 33 to 29 vote. Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill into law shortly after the decision was made public.
New York is the 6th state in the United States to legalize same-sex marriage. The other five are Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, and Iowa.

Team Fortress 2 Goes Free to Play
After four years of dominating the team based shooter scene, Valve finally took the plunge this past week and made Team Fortress 2 absolutely free to play. There is, of course, the “premium” account option that makes just about any free to pay model work. But the base game is now available for download at no cost.
