IBM Building 120PB Data Warehouse
IBM is building a 120 petabyte data warehouse at their research lab in Almaden, California – ten times larger than any other warehouse in the world.
They’re using 200,000 hard drives in the build. The system will be used to run simulations for complex systems such as weather and climate modeling.
For reference, a petabyte is 1,000TB or 120 million gigabytes of data.

Runic Prices Torchlight II to Sell
Runic brought big news to the PAX convention this weekend, announcing that Torchlight II will be priced at just $19.99 when it’s released. That’s not too bad for a full featured hack and slash adventure that includes multiplayer!
Runic also announced that the fourth playable class in the sequel will be the Embermage.
