Rob “CmdrTaco” Malda Resigns From Slashdot
With more than 15,000 stories to his credit, Rob “CmdrTaco” Malda has resigned from his post at Slashdot. Malda founded the site fourteen years ago and has served as its editor in chief since. Here’s an excerpt explaining his decision:
“The internet has changed dramatically since I started here, and that’s part of my reason for leaving.
For me, the Slashdot of today is fused to the Slashdot of the past. This makes it really hard to objectively consider the future of the site.”
I remember reading Slashdot in high school. On a 56k. Jesus, I feel old.

Tim Cook Says Apple Not Changing
Tim Cook, the new CEO at Apple, wasted no time laying out his vision for the company in an email addressed to all employees yesterday. He doesn’t plan to change the structure or the culture that Steve Jobs worked so hard to establish and cultivate.
In fact, Cook’s exact words were that “Apple is not going to change,” and that it will continue to be “the magical place that it is.” You can read the whole email here.
