Valve published a sneak peak a few days back of the upcoming Puzzle Creator DLC editor for Portal 2. As you can see in the screenshot below, you use the editor to create a cartoon-ish looking design for your level and the game engine converts it to an actual playable level.
Ok, now that is fucking cool. Easiest looking 3D map editor I’ve ever seen. Hopefully this will keep getting worked on and pushed to other games. Open up map making to more people.
