Based solely on the number of background checks performed against the NICS database so far this month, the FBI says that more Americans purchased firearms in December than any other month in history. Gun dealers have made an incredible 1,534,414 NICS inquiries since December 1 – and the month isn’t even over yet. The previous record was just set last month.

my cousins husband got a case for his AR-15 for xmas, so we started making fun of him for having an assault rifle saying so your all ready for the apocalypse and what not… and he says no, I got it because of Obama.

All I asked for this Xmas was $ towards the purchase of a handgun. I will be buying mine after the first of the year though, so I won’t be contributing to the historic month. My cousin loves to tell everyone that American citizens are the largest armed force in the world. I haven’t fact checked that, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
I couldn’t afford guns until last year, now I own 8. Really it’s just a fun hobby.
