New York Times Accidentally Spams 8 Million People
This afternoon, an employee of the New York Times accidentally sent an email meant for a group of three hundred people to eight million addresses.
The message, which came from nytimes@email.newyorktimes.com, asked recipients to renew home delivery subscriptions that the vast majority didn’t have in the first place. Oops.

TorrentFreak published a list of the top ten most pirated movies of 2011 this past weekend. Fast Five, The Hangover II, and Thor took the top three spots.
Yes, you read that correctly: a slapstick action movie, the worst and most unnecessary sequel ever made, and one of the worst big screen comic book adaptations since Eric Bana played Hulk were the three most stolen movies of 2011. I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

Valve Employee Shoots Down Half-Life 3 Rumors
Chet Faliszek, a writer for Valve, has some bad news about the rampant Half-Life 3 rumors that have been circulating since the company released an acceptance speech last week from Portal 2 robot Wheatley in response to his (not) winning the award for “best character” at the 2011 Spike TV Video Game Awards. In short: the community is trolling itself.
